KAB is a cossack marking- seems to be somewhat common on finns, probably where alot of cossack rifles were torn down to use for parts. JMG

The КАВ might stand for кавалерия or кавказ. Interesting receiver, too. Does it have a 2nd off to the side of the recoil lug for lubing the threads? If there's no 2nd hole, it might be a '94 or '95...
